• Garbage  – The City of Kurten does not have public garbage pickup. Brazos County does have facilities located around the county for household waste. One is located in Kurten on FM 2038 South at Copperhead Road.

MAIL SERVICE

The City of Kurten has mail delivered to homes out of the Bryan, Texas post office. The zip code for residents of Kurten whose mail is delivered via mail carrier is 77808. The City of Kurten does have a full service Post Office located on Hwy 21 just east of the Hwy 21 – FM 2038 North intersection.

The City of Kurten is serviced by the Brazos County Volunteer Fire Department Precinct 3, from Hwy 21 to the south and Precinct 2, from Hwy 21 to the north. Precinct 2 has a fire station located in Kurten on FM 2038 North just off Business Hwy 21. For all emergency calls dial 911.
